Arun Kumar Goswami

Professor Dr. Arun Kumar Goswami(retired) is a retired Professor of Political Science, at Jagannath University. He is ex-Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences,and ex-Chairman, Department of Political Science, Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Professor Goswami has a good number of publications books, research articles published in different standard national and international journals. The most recent books are Institutionalization of Democracy in Bangladesh (2019), Jagannath University; and Three Decisive Wars of Indian Sub-continent, Kurukshetra War, Battle of Plassey and Liberation War of Bangladesh (in Bangla, 2020). He contributed article on ‘Bangladesh’ in the Handbook on Asian States, 2021. Besides, he has 32 research articles and book chapters published in national and international standard academic journals and books. He has accomplished 7 research projects. Besides, at present he has two ongoing research projects, Teaching in Higher Education of Bangladesh : A Study on the Perspectives of Public University (Social Science Research Council(SSRC), Planning Ministry of Bangladesh and Democracy and Population Dynamics : A Study on the population of Rajoir Upazilla of Madaripur District, Bangladesh (Jagannath University, Dhaka).
