A reckless young man in his 20s was badly injured after he slipped and came crashing to the ground during a dangerous stunt to climb the 50-foot wall of Srinivasa Sagara dam in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district.

Video footage of the incident shows the young man climbing up the wall of the dam as the water is cascading down. There are many spectators watching the dangerous feat.
He reaches the two-thirds mark at about 30 feet and then suddenly slips off and falls to the ground to the utter shock of those who were watching him perform the stunt.
He was then taken to a hospital in Bengaluru, a distance of 74 km, where he is undergoing treatment.
A police case has been registered against the young man for going ahead with the dangerous attempt despite a warning from the district administration not to do so.
