T Senka Ao played a crucial role to broker peace in conflict-ridden Nagaland. He profusely promoted the Ao language and literature across the northeast states. He brought many militants to the path of mainstream and provided them with education. T Senka Ao was conferred with Padma Shri in 2022 for his contributions in the field of Ao language. He also started Night Club School to impart education to surrendered insurgents.
