Taking a cue from Lithuania, Germany has now ordered a probe in to China made mobile phones over alleged spying and cybersecurity risks. The German Federal Office for Information Security has confirmed the probe, inspired by Lithuania’s defence ministry’s damming report which found a dormant censorship configuration that can be activated remotely in one model of Xiaomi phones sold in Europe.
