Paytm founder rams Jaguar Land Rover into Delhi cop’s car, arrested and then let out on bail

The Paytm founder was driving a Jaguar Land Rover car that rammed into the official car of the District Commissioner of Police of South Delhi, police said. He is alleged to have sped away from the spot after the incident.

According to the complaint, the speeding Land Rover hit DCP Benita Mary Jaiker's car outside Mother International School at Aurobindo Marg on February 22.

The DCP's car was being driven by her driver, constable Deepak Kumar. who noted down the number of the Land Rover. The vehicle was traced to a company in Gurugram. The firm’s staff told the police that the car was being used by Vijay Shankar Sharma, who lives in South Delhi.

Delhi Police spokesperson Suman Nalwa confirmed that Sharma was arrested in the case and later released on bail.
