Locals, youth carry out cleanliness drive in Kashmir

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Locals, mostly youngsters, across different parts of Jammu and Kashmir joined the countrywide cleanliness Swacch Bharat Mission and cleaned streets of the city under the slogans ‘Swacch Kashmir, Naya Kashmir’ and ‘Mera Kashmir, Swacch Kashmir.’</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The drive was organized by the youth in different parts of J&amp;K, including Kulgam, Pulwama, Ganderbal, and Shopian.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;"><img class="size-medium wp-image-22963 aligncenter" src="https://indianarrative.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Swachhta-300×225.jpg" alt="" />“Cleanliness is next to godliness,” said a youth while cleaning the street of the Margund village of Gaderbal district.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Another young boy from the village of Wuyan in Shopian said that cleanliness is a state of purity and clarity.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">This year Srinagar was ranked as one of the cleanest cities in a countrywide Swacch Bharat Mission survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Of 4,242 cities surveyed on the cleanliness index, Srinagar has been ranked 36th under the SBM.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Young boys also participated in the cleanliness drive at Panzgom in Pulwama.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“A clean place is a safe place,” said a child participating in a cleanliness drive at the village Matribug village, Kulgam.</p>.
