He used his wrists to smash England pacer Richard Gleeon’s delivery on middle stump in a backward lofted shot on his way to 117 off a mere 55 balls on Sunday. His innings was studded with 14 fours and six sixes as he was the sole man to stage a fightback in the final T20I against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. However, his valiant effort went in vain as India fell short of the England total by 17 runs.
