Video: Youngster badly injured as stunt to climb 50-foot dam near Bengaluru goes horribly wrong

A reckless young man in his 20s was badly injured after he slipped and came crashing to the ground during a dangerous stunt to climb the 50-foot wall of Srinivasa Sagara dam in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district.</p>

Video footage of the incident shows the young man climbing up the wall of the dam as the water is cascading down. There are many spectators watching the dangerous feat.</p>
<p>
He reaches the two-thirds mark at about 30 feet and then suddenly slips off and falls to the ground to the utter shock of those who were watching him perform the stunt.</p>
<p>
He was then taken to a hospital in Bengaluru, a distance of 74 km, where he is undergoing treatment.</p>
<p>
A police case has been registered against the young man for going ahead with the dangerous attempt despite a warning from the district administration not to do so.</p>
