Once she didn’t have money to buy a pair of shoes for her daughter now she owns her shop Mukta Shoes which is very popular in Manipur. Meet Moirangthem Muktamani Devi who was married at the age of 17. She saw poverty but never lost her determination. Once a job seeker is now a job creator who gives employment to 20 persons. Muktamani’s shoes are uniquely made with woollen and have a high demand in Manipur. Her shoes have found markets in New Zealand, Japan South Korea and Australia. She was awarded Padma Shri in 2022.
