India’s daily count of fresh COVID-19 cases falls below 3,000 mark

India's daily count of fresh COVID-19 cases fell below the 3000 mark after five days as 2,568 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to Health Ministry data released on Tuesday.</p>
<p>
There were 2,927 fresh coronavirus cases registered last Thursday, after which the single-day rise in cases stayed above 3,000 for five days in a row.</p>
<p>
India's active caseload currently stands at 19,137.</p>
<p>
The Union Health Ministry also informed that t20 deaths were recorded due to COVID in the last 24 hours.</p>
<p>
As many as 4,19,552 tests for coronavirus were conducted in the last 24 hours, wherein a daily positivity rate of 0.61 per cent was observed.</p>
<p>
Meanwhile, over 189.41 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the  nationwide vaccination drive to prevent the  spread of COVID-19.</p>
