In an extremely unusual weather occurrence, Telangana’s Vikarabad town was lashed by a heavy hailstorm which turned the town white making it look like some place in Kashmir.

The locals have tweeted videos and photos of the hailstorm that struck on Thursday afternoon.
“Roads turn into white. It’s not Switzerland. #Hailstorm lashes at Marpalle in Vikarabad dist, Telangana,” wrote a Twitter user who shared a video that showed a road carpeted with a thick layer of white hail.
However, the freak hailstorm is reported to have caused extensive damage to the standing crops in the region.
