WATCH: Young woman journalist slaps boy in middle of live TV news broadcast in Pakistan, then explains why

A video showing a young woman journalist slapping a boy for misbehaving during a live news broadcast has gone viral on social media. The incident took place in Pakistan while the journalist was reporting about the of Eid-al Adha holiday observed on Sunday (July 9).</p>

The journalist can be seen in the midst of people including women and children. A young boy standing close to her says something that is not audible and gestures with his hand to another person across the camera. This infuriates the journalist and she gives him a tight slap on his face with her left hand even as she continues with her news bulletin while holding the mike in her right hand.</p>

As the clip went viral and Twitter users were curious, the journalist, Maira Hashmi,  tweeted to say that the boy was harassing one of the families during the live interview which upset its members. She then reacted as such behaviour could not be tolerated and put an end to it.</p>
<p>
The clip has got more than 400,000 hits since being posted on Monday.</p>
