President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi accorded a ceremonial reception to Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, at Rashtrapati Bhavan Monday morning as he began his second State Visit to India.
Mohammed bin Salman, also popularly referred to as MBS, arrived in New Delhi Saturday for the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
Accompanied by a high level delegation, including ministers and senior officials, he then proceeded to the Hyderabad House to hold bilateral talks with PM Modi.
The visit follows the highly successful visit of Prime Minister Modi to Saudi Arabia in October 2019 during which the two countries established the Strategic Partnership Council.
After the bilateral, both leaders will co-chair the First Leaders’ Meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council.
They will also review the progress made under the two Ministerial Committees of the Strategic Partnership Council – the Committee on Political, Security, Social and Cultural Cooperation and the Committee on Economy and Investments Cooperation.
The discussions will include all aspects of bilateral relations including political, security, defence, trade and economic, cultural and people-to-people ties besides the regional and international issues of mutual interest.
