India and Nepal to restart daily flights

India and Nepal to restart daily flights between New Delhi and Kathmandu. The two countries had suspended the flights after the Coronavirus epidemic spread worldwide from Wuhan, China.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, the two governments have agreed to resume flights. The two countries have agreed to an air bubble arrangement and will gradually increase the numbers of flights.

Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla's Nepal visit last month paved the way for restoration of relations between the two countries. Restarting flights between the two countries was decided during Shringla's visit.

The daily flight will have the usual safety protocols. The restoration of flights will give a boost to the tourism sector and also enhance people-to-people relations between the two countries..
