British police slapped a fine on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Friday for travelling in a car without wearing his seat belt as he was recording a video for social media.
Sunak had apologised on Thursday for the incident, terming it a “brief error of judgement.” He was in the back seat and had taken off the belt to film a video which was put on social media.
“Following the circulation of a video on social media showing an individual failing to wear a seat belt while a passenger in a moving car in Lancashire we have today issued a 42-year-old man from London with a conditional offer of fixed penalty,” Lancashire Police said on Twitter, referring to the incident.
