A flight attendant of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reportedly ‘disappeared’ in Canada soon after immigration formalities at the Toronto airport. This is the third such instance this year, reports Dawn newspaper.
Steward Aijaz Ali Shah flew from Islamabad to Toronto on the PK-781 flight on October 14 and was to return back on PK-782, but was found missing after the flight landed. The airline debriefed the rest of the crew and also launched an inquiry into Shah’s disappearance.
The Canadian immigration authorities have been alerted about the ‘missing’ crewmember.
Shah disappeared from the airport as the other crew members were boarding their return flight. They waited for him for two hours and also tried searching for him but could not trace him.
Earlier in January, a flight steward on the same PK-781 route went missing in Canada soon after landing at Toronto. A PIA air hostess also disappeared on reaching Canada this year.
The PIA has informed the Canadian border security about the latest incident.
