Unsung Sikh patriot and freedom fighter Darshan Singh Pheruman renounced his lucrative business and dedicated himself to the fight against British rule in India. Born in 1885, he took part in the Quit India movement during world war 2. After India attended independence he was elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha.
