As India faces the deadly second wave, Russia has extended their support to the country by sending two flights of emergency medical equipment and aid. This comes ahead of US' expected assistance which was marred by their refusal to assist a friendly nation, facing heavy criticism at home and abroad. Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephonic conversation with PM Modi announced the supplies for India and discussed convergence of shared interests for the upcoming 2+2 discussion between the respective foreign and defence ministers.
