Himmatrao Saluba Bawaskar has saved many victims of the scorpion stings. In 1983 and around these years deaths due to scorpion bites were very high. Brilliant in studies since his childhood, Bawaskar completed his MBBS from Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur. His theories and research papers on scorpion stings published in various national and international journals. Today the medicine developed by him works effectively in Scorpion bites. Today the mortality rate is 1% instead of 44% earlier. Himmatrao Saluba Bawaskar was conferred with Padma Shri in 2022 for his revolutionary work in the field of medicine.
