Gem of Odisha Architecture: Mukteswar Temple

Mukteswar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the state of Odisha, India. It is one of the most important landmarks of the Kalinga architecture, which is famous for its intricate carvings and sculptures.

The Mukteswar Temple was built in the 10th century during the reign of the Somavamsi dynasty. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it is believed that the temple was built to mark the end of the rule of the Bhauma-Karas, who were Jains.
