With an increasing number of states reporting vaccine shortage, the centre on Wednesday said that the production capacity of Covaxin will be doubled in May-June. Covaxin, India's indigenous vaccine is currently being manufactured by Bharat Biotech. The production capacity is expected to reach a hundred million doses by September. Over two billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines will be made available in the country between August and December, enough to vaccinate the entire population. Watch the full story!
