In a freak accident a railway ticket collector had a miraculous escape when a high-voltage overhead electricity wire fell on him at the platform in West Bengal’s Kharagpur station.
The man sustained burn injuries in the mishap and is being treated at a hospital, officials said. The ticket collector has been identified as Sujan Singh Sardar.
In the video, two ticket collectors are seen talking to each other at the railway station in West Bengal’s Kharagpur, when a live overhead electricity wire falls on the platform and touches the ticket collector’s head.
The dramatic visuals show him falling head-long on the tracks while the other scared official talking to him runs away in shock.
The hapless man was then picked up by the railway staff and passengers and taken to hospital.
