Trident Group partners with Sonu Sood’s 'Pravasi Rojgar'

<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Ludhiana based Trident Group has announced a partnership with Bollywood icon Sonu Sood’s ‘Pravasi Rojgar’ by onboarding 3000 migrant workers across various business verticals.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Pravasi Rojgar is a not-for-profit initiative, launched by the Bollywood actor, to help millions of migrant workers find a steady source of income. Sood, who is best known for his performance in the Salman Khan starrer blockbuster Dabangg, has been hailed as a messiah after he offered to help thousands of stranded migrant workers amid nationwide lockdown.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In a Twitter video post, Trident Group’s chairman Rajinder Gupta called Sood an inspiration for his selfless act in assisting stranded workers to reach home, providing employment opportunities and also called many others to come forward in assisting the actor’s cause.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Hailing from Bhatinda, Punjab, Gupta established the Trident Group, a business conglomerate, with its headquarters in Ludhiana. However, more than his business prowess, he is known for his social development outlook.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Gupta is recognised and appreciated across various eminent forums for his philanthropy along with his contributions to the field of education and women welfare.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Trident Group chairman is a first generation entrepreneur and has over two decades of experience in industrial ventures. In 2007, he was awarded with the “Padmashree” title by the late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The business conglomerate last year announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir, barely two days after the Centre revoked the controversial Article 370. The move is expected to generate large number of jobs in the valley. The company also has special plans to boost participation of women in the work-field.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Gupta has headed various institutions and government bodies such as Punjab State Economic Policy and Planning Board. He is currently a representative of Trade, Industry &amp; Commerce on the Board of Governors of Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, Chairman of Advisory Council of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh &amp; Himachal Pradesh of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce &amp; Industry (FICCI) and President of Punjab Cricket Association since September 2017.</p>.
