In a tweet, the airline said, "Tired of cab bookings always cancelling on you? We have a solution for that. Have your cab ready upon arrival with Mid-Air Cab bookings with #SpiceJet!”

This service will be initially available for passengers at the Delhi airport. However, the airline will expand this service in a phased manner to other big cities including Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Goa and Ahmedabad.

"The use of latest technology has helped ensure that SpiceJet's system (revamped website) is fast, scalable and secure," SpiceJet said in a statement.

According to MoneyControl, daily domestic air passenger traffic in India crossed the 300,000-mark on October 9.

Both business and leisure travel are now starting to pick up.

“Flights are going full and we have almost reached the pre-Covid levels. The number of flights has also increased, signalling that things are returning to normal,” the executive said.

As Covid 19 cases continue to drop, air passenger traffic is picking up. A senior executive engaged with a private airline said that the industry, which was one of the worst hit sectors, is gradually opening up and as demand rises, hiring is opening up.

The government has now decided to remove all restrictions on domestic airlines from October 18.
