PM Modi visits Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Punjab, meets Baba Dhillon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited the Radha Soami Satsang Beas near Amritsar in Punjab and met the Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

PM Modi accompanied by the Dera chief took a round of the community kitchen at the Dera where the followers were making chapatis and chopping vegetables.

Earlier on Friday, PM Modi tweeted, “Tomorrow, 5th November I will have the honour of visiting the Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Under the leadership of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon Ji, the RSSB is at the forefront of numerous community service efforts.”

PM Modi was on his way to poll-bound Himachal Pradesh where he will address rallies in Sundar Nagar and Solan where the Baba has a significant following.

PM Modi had also met Baba Gurinder Singh in Delhi in February this year ahead of the Punjab assembly elections.

The Prime Minister has been spearheading the BJP’s poll campaign in Himachal with an emphasis on the “proven track record of development and the pro-people efforts of the double engine governments. Elections to Himachal Pradesh are slated to be held on November 12.

PM Modi landed at the Indian Air Force base at Adampur near Jalandhar where he was received by Punjab Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa. The state’s Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua and DGP Gaurav Yadav were also present on the occasion.
