Nagpur double decker Highway-cum-Metro Rail creates Guinness World Record

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today congratulated Team NHAI and Maha Metro on achieving the Guinness Book of World Record for constructing the longest Double Decker Viaduct (3.14 KM) with Highway Flyover and Metro Rail supported on a single column in Nagpur.

The minister said the project has already bagged records from Asia Book and India Book. Now receiving this eminent award is indeed a proud moment for us. The minister praised the engineers, officers and workers who persevered round the clock to make this happen.

Gadkari said such developments are a fulfilment of the promise by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s  government to build world class infrastructure in the country.
