Heavy rains, gusty winds lash Delhi-NCR, flights disrupted

<p>
Heavy rains and strong winds lashed Delhi and the national capital region early this morning, triggering power blackouts and disrupting flights.</p>
<p>
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said thundershower with moderate rainfall and gusty winds with speeds of 60-90 Km/h would continue to occur over entire Delhi and NCR during the next two hours.</p>

IMD said vulnerable structures could be damaged due to the thunderstorm, and traffic disruptions are likely in the national capital.</p>

The airport authorities have requested passengers to contact their airline for updated flight information before heading for the airport.</p>

"Due to bad weather, flight operations at Delhi airport are affected. Passengers are requested to get in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information," Delhi Airport tweeted.</p>
