Heavy rains flood roads in Mumbai & Delhi

Incessant rain on Friday and Saturday morning has led to waterlogging and traffic jams in various parts of Mumbai and Delhi.

The weather department has also predicted moderate to heavy rainfall  over the weekend for both cities.

IMD said in its morning bulletin on Saturday that there would generally be a cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rain/thundershower in Mumbai and its suburbs in the next 24 hours.

It has also predicted rain for Delhi through the weekend and light showers on Monday as well.

The IMD release shared on Friday afternoon said that heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, interior parts of Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema over the next three to four days.

Heavy rain is also likely to continue in the northern states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and eastern parts of Rajasthan over the next four to five days.
