Heavy rain lashes Delhi

Heavy rain coupled with thunderstorms lashed Delhi and its neighbouring areas in the early hours on Tuesday.

This is likely to disrupt traffic during peak office hours as waterlogging was witnessed in several parts of Delhi after the rainfall.

The India Meteorological Department in a statement released on Tuesday morning predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate-intensity rain over Delhi and nearby region.

IMD has also suggested that people, “follow traffic advisories. Stay indoors, close windows and doors and avoid travel if possible. Take safe shelters; do not take shelter under trees and do not lie on concrete floors and do not lean against concrete walls.”
