Dates for 2021 JEE Mains to be announced today at 6 pm

<p style="font-weight: 400;">The dates for the 2021 Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main will be announced today at 6 pm, education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ informed through Twitter.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Thank you all for sharing your constructive suggestions regarding JEE (Main) exams. We have got your suggestions examined. I will be announcing the schedule, number of times the exam will be held at 6 PM today,” the minister said.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The minister held discussions with teachers, parents, students and other stakeholders on the same on December 10 when various issues including possible postponement of exams, syllabus and mode of exams among other things were touched upon.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">According to a Zee News report, Pokhriyal made it clear that there is no plan to cancel CBSE Board Exams 2021 and NEET 2021 exams. He also said that the government is planning to hold multiple sessions of JEE Main from 2021.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“During his interaction, the Education Minister made it clear that CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021 may get delayed and it is possible that the exams may not be held in March if the coronavirus pandemic is not brought under control. Pokhriyal hinted that it is possible that the CBSE would opt for an alternative to practical exams in 2021 as most of the schools across the country remained close for the entire academic session due to Covid-19 outbreak,” Zee News said.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Earlier Pokhriyal also said the exam could be held in multiple regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi, Telugu and Urdu. Besides, the exam will also be conducted in English and Hindi.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">JEE is conducted twice a year.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The second round of JEE was held between September 1 and 6. After the exam was deferred twice due Covid 19 pandemic, it finally took place in September. While 8.58 lakh applicants registered for the exam only 6.35 lakh turned up.</p>.
