Caught on Camera: Woman dragged to death by speeding car on Delhi road

Horrifying CCTV footage has surfaced showing a car dragging a woman on a Delhi road for 12 km on the morning of the New Year, resulting in her death.

The 20-year-old woman was killed after her scooty was hit by the Maruti Suzuki Baleno that is seen being driven away while dragging the victim, Anjali, under the vehicle, the police said.

There were five men in the car who have been arrested. They include a credit card collection agent, a driver and a ration shop owner, according to the police.

The incident happened in the Sultanpuri area of the national capital on Sunday morning, when New Year celebrations were going on in the city.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena tweeted that he was “shocked at the monstrous insensitivity of the perpetrators.”  He is personally monitoring the case.
