Caught on Camera: Jilted lover shoots girl in Patna

A 15-year-old girl was shot in the neck in Patna by a jilted lover and the horrifying incident has been captured on CCTV. The incident occurred in Indrapuri area of Sipara at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday when she was returning from coaching classes, police said.</p>

The CCTV footage shows a young man stalking the girl. He then pulls out a gun from his bag and shoots the girl. She falls to the ground and then culprit is seen running away from the spot.</p>
<p>
Preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was the fallout of a love affair gone sour, according to the police. However, the actual reason would be confirmed only after recording the victim's statement, police said.</p>
<p>
The girl, a Class 9 student, is currently in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.</p>
