7 luxury cars seized in Bengaluru including Rolls-Royce sold by a Bollywood star

The cars were seized since the drivers did not have any documents, according to Transport Commissioner N Shiva Kumar. The drive was carried out on August 22 evening near UB City.</p>
<p>
Transport Commissioner N. Shivakumar said that some of the cars could not be found on ‘Vahan’ portal, indicating a possibility of fake documents, fake number plates or fake registration numbers. Necessary action will be taken after owners produce the documents sought by officials.</p>

The Hindu newspaper quoted Additional Commissioner (Enforcement) of Transport Department, Narendra Holkar as saying, “Based on information from our sources, we carried out a drive at UB City. Officials seized seven cars, including a Rolls Royce registered in Maharashtra. The vehicle was registered in the name of Amitabh Bachchan in 2019, but was later allegedly purchased by a builder from Bengaluru. He failed to produce documents related to the car. The car was also plying without insurance. We have impounded the car as per the rules.”</p>

These luxury cars have come on the radar of police officers and transport officials. Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, BMW, and other cars are included in the list. The case is not only with the Bengaluru officials but other states as well. The Hyderabad transport department is also reported to be carrying out a similar drive.</p>
