42,000 kg of seized narcotic drugs to be destroyed across 14 locations across the country tomorrow

A total of around 42,000 kg narcotics that have been seized by Customs officials from smugglers will be destroyed tomorrow at 14 locations across the country, according to a finance ministry statement.</p>
<p>
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will be conducting a Drug Destruction Day on June 8 as part of Iconic Week of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations of the Finance Ministry to mark the 75th year of Indian independence, the statement said.    </p>
<p>
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will virtually witness the destruction process to be held at Mumbai, Guwahati, Lucknow, Mundra/Kandla, Patna and Siliguri and will address the officers, the statement added.</p>
