India’s daily count of fresh COVID-19 cases falls below 3,000 mark.

India's daily count of fresh COVID-19 cases fell below the 3000 mark after five days as 2,568 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to Health Ministry data released on Tuesday.

There were 2,927 fresh coronavirus cases registered last Thursday, after which the single-day rise in cases stayed above 3,000 for five days in a row.

India's active caseload currently stands at 19,137.

The Union Health Ministry also informed that t20 deaths were recorded due to COVID in the last 24 hours.

As many as 4,19,552 tests for coronavirus were conducted in the last 24 hours, wherein a daily positivity rate of 0.61 per cent was observed.

Meanwhile, over 189.41 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the  nationwide vaccination drive to prevent the  spread of COVID-19.
