Captured on camera: Cheetah moves at lightning speed to hunt down prey

The cheetah is known to be the fastest animal on land and can accelerate to a speed of 112 kmph in a mere three seconds. The video shows a cheetah chasing its prey at lightning speed.

The tweet going viral has been shared with a one-line caption in Spanish “Velocidad y fuerza”, which means “speed and strength”.

Cheetahs mainly prey on small antelopes, although they will also hunt small mammals and birds. When a cheetah hunts, it gets as close as possible to its prey before trying to outrun it with a burst of speed. The cheetah then uses its paw to swipe the animal to the ground and then suffocates it with a bite to the neck.
