The video shows a brave woman constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) put her own life at risk to save a man from being crushed under a train at the Purba Medinipur railway station in West Bengal.
The CCTV footage shows a man standing on the platform of the railway station. He then suddenly jumps down and lies down across the railway track just as a train is approaching in what appears to be an attempt to commit suicide.
Constable K Sumathi, who was on the other platform, moved with lightning speed and lifted the man off the track a split second before the train passes through.
Two other persons then alco came down to help her hoist the man back to the the platform.
