WATCH: Bike rider miraculously escapes death as helmet prevents head from being crushed by bus

Bengaluru's Joint Commissioner of traffic police Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda has shared a video of a horrifying accident in which a motorcyclist miraculously escapes death as he rams into a bus turning onto the main road. </p>

The bike is crushed under the bus and the rear wheels of the bus hit the rider’s head. The senior police officer points out that it was the good quality of the helmet that saved the biker, identified as Alex Silva Peres.</p>
<p>
The police officer posted the video on Twitter to drive home the importance of “good quality ISI mark helmets” for motorcyclists and scooter riders.</p>
