A horrifying video of a man being mauled to death by a pack of half a dozen dogs in the lawns of the Aligarh Muslim University on Sunday was captured on CCTV footage.
The video shows the man standing alone in the lawn scrolling his smartphone. Two dogs first appear and are then joined by the rest of the pack.
Safdar Ali, a resident of a locality adjoining the campus, was out on a morning walk in a garden at Sir Syed Museum of the university when the dogs attacked him, according to the local police.
At first the man appears to take command of the situation by shouting at the dogs to drive them away, but they soon attack in strength and pull him down. He tries to get up and to escape from the ferocious beasts but they pull him down repeatedly.
SP City Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said that a police team rushed to the spot but by then the man had died.
