A Railway Protection Force (RPF) official and a motorman saved a woman from getting crushed under a train in the nick of time at Mumbai’s Byculla railway station on Saturday.
The video clip, that has gone viral, shows the woman recklessly walking on the railway track towards an approaching suburban train in what turns out to be a suicide attempt. As the train comes close to her, the RPF official realises what is happening and quickly leaps to the spot to lift the woman away from the track with help from a motorman on the other side.
The video was shared with the caption: “A woman’s suicide attempt in front of a local train was foiled due to presence of mind of a @Central_Railway motorman and RPF personnel at Byculla station on Saturday”.
