The video clipping of New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern having to put aside the affairs of the State as her three-year-old daughter Neve called her has caught the attention of the netizens, making parents all over identify with her.

The 41-year-old Kiwi leader while doing the Monday Facebook livestream informing the nation about important revisions to Covid-19 restrictions when she was interrupted by an unexpected voice calling out “mummy”. It was her daughter who was told by the premier that it was bedtime. Then started a lively exchange where the PM tried to have protracted negotiations which proved fruitless.

Resuming her briefing she was asked as to what was taking her so long, making Ardern take leave stating that it was well past Neve’s bedtime.

Ardern in 2018 was the second Prime Minister in the world to give birth while in office. The first was India’s neighbour Pakistan’s Benazir Bhutto.
