Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee 5 offer a varied fare this week

<p>
There is a bonanza for movie buffs as OTTs Netflix, Amazon Prime and Zee 5 are streaming  new releases on their platform.</p>
<p>
The much-awaited <em>Drishyam 2 </em>is available on Amazon Prime. Following <em>Drishyam</em>, released eight years ago, the film takes off from where the first ended.</p>
<p>
Again actor Mohanlal is returning with the second instalment of the superhit film. <em>Drishyam 2 </em>streaming on Amazon Prime Video takes off from where the film ended. Commencing from there, it depicts Kutty and his family trying to lead normal lives after the incident. Kutty, portrayed as a big fan of films, is a successful theatre owner.</p>
<p>
The sequel is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, who also made the 2013 original, and stars Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba, Esther and Saikumar.</p>
<p>
<em>Pitta Kathalu</em>, is a Telugu anthology drama film and is the new release on Netflix. The four short films in it are directed by Nag Ashwin, BV Nandini Reddy, Tharun Bhascker and Sankalp Reddy. The cast in these include Amala Paul, Ashwin Kakumanu, Eesha Rebba, Jagapati Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Ashima Narwal, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde and Shruti Haasan, among others.</p>
<p>
Besides this Netflix has lined up <em>Behind Her Eyes</em>, <em>The Crew</em> and <em>I Care A Lot</em>.</p>
<p>
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough, <em>Behind Her Eyes</em> revolves around Louise (Simona Brown), who is a single mother and has an affair with her boss and psychiatrist David (Tom Bateman). When Louise befriends David’s wife Adele, she is dragged into a world of deceit and lies.</p>
<p>
The comedy show <em>The Crew </em>features Kevin James as the NASCAR crew chief of a racing team. With the team’s owner handing over the team to his daughter, it is up to James to stop the girl from making changes in the team. The show also stars Jillian Mueller.</p>
<p>
The drama-packed <em>I Care A Lot</em> is about Marla Grayson, essayed by Rosamund Pike, who is a guardian of elderly wards. There is more to Grayson than meets the eye, as she drains the savings of her wards. But things take a turn when trying to seize Jennifer Peterson’s assets, things go awry. The films also stars Dinklage, Eiza González and Dianne Wiest.</p>
<p>
Ekta Kapoor is back on Zee5 with the second season of her hit drama series <em>Dev DD 2</em>. The show is about Devika, an obstinate woman, living by her own rules. The actors in the show include Asheema Vardan, Sanjay Suri, Nauheed Cyrusi and Aman Uppal in main roles.</p>
