Nagaland team breaks China’s record for world’s highest martial arts kick

Dimapur-based Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy are proud of their world record glory.

A taekwondo team from Nagaland has scripted history by breaking an 11-year-old Guinness World Record set by China’s martial artists for the highest kick.

The Chinese had been holding the record since 2012 with a 14 feet and 2 inches high martial arts kick (assisted). The talented Nagaland team, from the Dimapur-based Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy, set a new record with a 14 feet and 5 inches high kick.

The extraordinary feat was accomplished on July 5 on the sets of the reality show India’s Got Talent in Mumbai in the presence of Guinness World Records adjudicators Gleen McGrath and Swapnil Dangarikar.

Taking to Twitter, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extend his best wishes andtweeted:  “I am happy to know that Faith In Action from Nagaland created a new Guinness World Record.
