Mysterious ‘gold chariot’ washed ashore by turbulent sea waves in Andhra’s Srikakulam district

In the wake of the cyclone Asani a mysterious gold-coloured chariot washed ashore at Andhra Pradesh's Sunnapalli Sea Harbour

Turbulent sea waves, in the wake of the cyclone Asani, washed ashore a mysterious gold-coloured chariot at Sunnapalli Sea Harbour in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

Video footage shows the structure was first noticed by some fishermen and villagers who pulled it towards the shore with ropes.

A local police official said the chariot might have come from another country.

The chariot resembles a monastery-like structure commonly found in Southeast Asian countries such as Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

However, there is also a distinct possibility that the structure may have been used as part of a set for a film shoot along the Indian coast.

The higher authorities have been informed about the discovery, he added.
