First Bharat Gaurav train passing through India’s cultural heartland to be flagged off from Secunderabad on March 18

The first Bharat Gaurav train from the South Central Railway will start from March 18. Introduced with the aim of showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage by connecting magnificent places of the country through rail, this train named Punyakshetra Yatra: Puri–Kasi–Ayodhya will start from Secunderabad Railway Station.

Sharing details with the media, Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of SCR said the train which is being run by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is a great opportunity for rail passengers intending to visit several historical and pilgrimage places at one go.

Jain said the Yatra which is for a duration of eight nights and nine days will start on March 18 and end on March 26. It will cover the important spiritual destinations including Puri, Konark, Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj. The tour will provide a diverse and comfortable tourist experience to the passengers, he said.

The visits that will be covered by this train include the Lord Jagannath Temple, the Sun Temple, Vishnu Pada Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi and Annapurna Devi, Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanumangarhi, Triveni Sangam, Hanuman Mandir and Shankar Viman Mandapam.

The stations which will be touched by the train are Secunderabad, Kazipet, Khammam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram.

The train’s inclusive package takes care of all arrangements like accommodation and food and its next trip is scheduled for April 18.
