The 20-page book was released by Dharam Pal, the Union Territory Adviser.

Talking about the colouring book, the Adviser said it has cartoons with messages which deal with solid waste management and general cleanliness. It also tackles the issue of segregation of waste at source.

The cartoons in the book have been designed so that they educate school going children about different aspects of Swachh Bharat Mission. It has attractive taglines like ‘Do your Bit, do not Spit’, ‘Make your planet fantastic, stop the use of plastic’, etc.

Further, the Adviser asked the Secretary, Education, Chandigarh to chalk out a policy to introduce this book in school syllabus thereby making them engage with the Swachh Bharat Mission in a different way. He said participation of various sections and segments of the society was necessary to make the cleanliness mission a success and through these colouring books children can be engaged in the mission.
