The video shows the traffic cop abusing and slapping the food delivery after which he snatches his mobile phone and also damages the motorcycle.

Mohanasundaram, the delivery boy was waiting at Fun Mall junction in the city on Friday evening when a private school van hit his two-wheeler at the signal. As the van driver attempted to escape, Mohanasundaram stopped and questioned him which caused a traffic jam, according to local media reports.

This infuriated the traffic policeman and he started slapping Mohanasundaram. He reportedly told the delivery boy that it was the job of the police to question those who violated traffic rules.

City Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar ordered the transfer of the policeman, Sathishkumar, a constable attached to Singanallur police station, to the city police control room and ordered an investigation into the incident.
