10-year-old Noida boy clears Class 10 board exam with 76.7% marks

Ayan Gupta a 10-year-old boy from Greater Noida  has scripted history by clearing the Class 10 UP Board exam with 76.67% marks.

Ayan scored 82 in mathematics, 83 in science, 73 in Hindi, 74 in English, 78 in social science and 70 in the Computer paper to sail through with a “distinction.”

Since the rules stipulate that students must be 14 years old to be eligible for appearing in the Class 10 exam, the school principal obtained special permission from the Board to allow Ayan to take the exam.

Ayan Gupta is a resident of Greater Noida, in National Capital Region (NCR). Manoj Gupta, Ayan’s father is a chartered accountant.  His father and mother Savita Gupta both helped him with his studies.

The parents said that during the Covid-19 lockdown, Ayan got bored of the books for his class as he had already completed studying them and started studying books for senior classes.  They decided to arrange home tuition for him.

Ayan wants to become an engineer and will study for the JEE and other engineering entrance exams now.

Ayan studied in Shiv Kumar Janta Inter College at Jahangirabad in Bulandshahr as the College Principal Chandra Prakash Agrawal agreed to seek special permission from the board to let the boy appear in the exam.

“Ayan is an extraordinary kid, he took admission in class 9th and before that, he was studying at home. He outperformed in all the exams conducted,” Agarwal told Times Now.
