A 29-year-old Indian woman working in California&rsquo;s Silicon Valley was killed on Wednesday as she got caught in the crossfire between two drug gangs at a restaurant in Mexico&rsquo;s coastal resort city of Tulum where she had gone on a holiday with her husband, according to media reports.</p>

The woman Anjali Ryot was killed along with a German tourist, Jennifer Henzold while some other tourists were injured in the exchange of gunfire between the two gangs, according to a report in <a href="https://californianewstimes.com/">Californianewstimes.com</a>.</p>

Anjali&rsquo;s Instagram account describes her as a travel blogger from Himachal Pradesh, India, living in San Jose. Anjali had been working as a senior site reliability engineer with LinkedIn since July before which she was employed with Yahoo.</p>

Authorities said that the shootout was a confrontation between two notorious rival gangs of drug peddlers. Anjali and the other tourists were collateral victims.</p>

According to a PTI report, Anjali&rsquo;s family in Himachal Pradesh was shattered when they were informed about her death. Her father, who works in the Himachal Pradesh animal husbandry department, said she had spent three-four months with them in Solan last year after the coronavirus outbreak before leaving for California.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Efforts are being made to bring her body to Solan for the last rites, he added.</p>
