The video which has gone viral, shows a huge flock of yellow-headed blackbirds falling from the sky as some of them fly upwards.

Several of these migratory birds that travel from Canada to Mexico at this time of the year, were spotted by locals lying dead on roads and sidewalks of Cuauhtémoc on February 7, 2022, according to a report in Mexican newspaper, El Heraldo de Chihuahua.

The paper cited a veterinarian as saying the deaths could have been caused by sudden electrocution. Birds in such large numbers usually follow the leaders which is seen as a possible explanation for such a large number of deaths.
